KEYNOTE ADDRESS (45-60 min.) "Lie, Cheat, and Steal Your Way to Success!" What Would the World Be Like Without Ethics? Alternate title: Life Principles: Feeling Good by Doing Good What is the right thing to do? Do ethical principles vary from person to person, or do they apply to all of us, no matter where were from or what we personally believe? Are there right and wrong answers to ethical questions? This practical, interactive presentation from The Ethics Guy, Dr. Bruce Weinstein, begins with a "What would you do?" multiple choice quiz targeted to the needs and interests of the group. Dr. Weinstein then presents a modern code of ethics with rules such as "Always keep your promises, unless something better comes along." He then shows why no one would reasonably want to live in a society with such rules and how living ethically is the best way to be at our best professionally and personally.
"...I attended a seminar in which Dr. Weinstein was the speaker, and knew instantly that we needed him on our speaker board for topics relating to ethics...
...He has the gift of being able to immediately connect with the audience with his presentation style, sincerity, knowledge and sense of humor...
...This is a speaker your audience will not soon forget..."
Kevin McCarthy, R.Ph. Vice President PharmCon Inc
The next portion of the presentation is an overview of the five ethical or "life principles that have stood the test of time." Revisiting the quiz, he shows how these principles point us in the right direction in each scenario. He ends by offering a simple checklist that each attendee can use each day to live an ethical life. "Life Principles" is an ethics presentation with the uplifting tone and message of a motivational speech.
